What is a Speed Limit Device (SLD)?
An SLD (Speed Limit Device, also called a speed limitation device) is an electronic device that caps a vehicle’s top speed at the set limit (90 km/h) as required by JPJ, complying with the UN R89 standard.

Yes. The JPJ mandate is based on vehicle category (lorries above 3.5 tonnes and buses), not distance travelled. Even though routes within Labuan are short, affected vehicles still need SLD fitted to the UN R89 standard. WhatsApp us to check your vehicle category and get a quote.
How is SLD installation arranged in Labuan?+
